Sir Richard Branson never intended to launch an airlines company, all he wanted was to go visit a beautiful girl waiting for him in the British Virgin Island.
He was all settled & ready to take off, when he got to know that American Airlines had decided to cancel the flight, leaving him & the rest of the passengers stranded in Puerto Rico. Far away from the beautiful girl.

And this was how Virgin Atlantic started. Because, unsatisfied with the promise of not making it to The British Virgin Island & the beautiful girl, Sir Richard Branson went to the back of the airport & hired an airplane.

He then found a blackboard and wrote: "Virgin Island, $39 single flight".

30 years later, the rest is history.
