Renault may go to India to tie-up with India's Bajaj Auto.

The two vehicle makers are supposedly aiming to build a car by 2012 to rival the world's cheapest auto, the Tata Nano, which is also built in India.

The Tata Nano started driving through Indian streets earlier this year to popular acclaim.

The proposed car is expected to carry the Renault badge.
