If Patna was known as a city of goons and the streets were havens for the eve teasers and burglars only, it was this cop who made the goons and the eve-teasers adhere strictly to the law. 

Under his tenure as the Patna S.P., the crime rate in reduced drastically. He was very famous among the common people who never thought even twice before contacting him directly for every problem they faced.

And he was like a big brother for the college girls of Patna and empowered them by giving them his phone number and asking them to  contact him directly for any help.

On an average he received around 300 messages from the girls for their safety. And he made sure that all the messages were attended. He also ensured that the law violators are well behind the bars.

Although his contributions as an IPS officers are myriad but some of them can be stated as:

1. COMPLETE CURB ON  MEDICINE MAFIAS

     During his brief tenure of 10 months as the S.P. of Patna, he made all possible raids on all the goons involved in illegal cosmetic sales and mafias of medicine. In no time he seized their licenses and cancelled them forever. He also confiscated spurious drugs, edible items and cosmetics.

2. DEATH BLOW TO ALL ILLEGAL WINE SHOPS

    Not to mention the illegal wine shops in the city vanished in the same manner as dodos disappeared from the island of Mauritius( after the arrival of the Dutch and Portuguese). 

3 SECURITY TO COLLEGE GIRLS AND WOMEN

    He himself provided the college girls his contact number and he ensured a blanket cover security for all the girls and women. On an average he used to receive 300 messages daily and made sure to attended to every one of them. His number was like 24*7 help line number and would also receive around 400 calls daily. He was like a hero for saving women from molestation and assaults by eve teasers and goons.

4 IMPOSING STRICT TRAFFIC LAWS

    He left no stone unturned to make sure that Patna becomes a peaceful city with people enjoying every part of it. He was a nightmare for traffic violators. All eve teasers and biker goons feared for their lives during his stay at Patna. If he spotted any biker performing stunts on the road then he would make them pay.

Although he has numerous contributions to city, only a few has been mentioned and only a small no of qualities of this honest cop has been included and may not be thoroughly sufficient.(This paragraph needs revision)

Yet one can contemplate the love and respect that he owned from the fact  that a candle light street march was carried out throughout Patna when orders for his transfer came. People felt bereaved in his absence. It was only after a lot of appeal by Nitish Kumar that people left the protest and gave this super cop a warm adieu.

In the end a person is successful for not only performing his duty religiously but also how he acceded in his path by actually becoming a good human being.  Undoubtedly if IPS is a religion Shivdeep is like a priest. But besides his religion-like official duty he also does a sanctified duty like.

CONTRIBUTING 70% OF HIS SALARY TO AN ORGANISATION

formed by him which arranges mass marriages of poor girls and hostel and scholarships to needy students.

Shivdeep father was a farmer and throughout his life he studied through the scholarships. He strongly felt the absence of money which could turn out to be a barrier for poor students. that's the reason he decided to help the needy. We Indians should be proud of cops like these .
