Lee Fevrier, 35, his brother Vernon, 34 and a 17-year-old girl appeared at Southwark Crown Court today charged with one count each of conspiracy to blackmail. Lesley Jones, prosecuting, said: 'The defendants have been sent to the court on charges of conspiracy to blackmail.'
Briefly outlining the facts, she said: 'There was a burglary of a particular premises where items were taken, electrical items, where photographs of a high profile celebrity were found. 'It concerns the efforts the defendants made to obtain money for non publication of those photographs.'There is no indication the trio were involved in the burglary itself.
The charge states: 'Between 10/07/2012 and 12/07/12 with a view to gain for yourself or another with intent to cause loss to another, conspired with others to make an unwarranted demand of £4,000 from [name] with menaces.'The woman named in the charge is a PA linked to an A-list actress.
The 17-year-old, of Homerton, east London, who appeared wearing an Adidas tracksuit top, was released on bail with a residence curfew.The Fevrier brothers - Vernon of Hendon, north London, and Lee of Homerton - were remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing on 1 October.
