thanks to Canadian engineers who claim to have designed a futuristic water-powered jet pack. The water-powered machine, 'Jetlev-Flyer', looks like something out of a James Bond or Superman movie.
it can hover up to 30 metres in the air and reach speeds of up to 22 miles per hour as one makes one's way across the water.
The device has a cruising duration of between one to two hours. This is all dependent on pilot weight. A digital fly-by-wire system is used to control the throttle.
The flying machine, designed by a team led by Raymond Li, is priced at 110,000 pounds.
It was recently tested out on the beaches of Miami in the US, and the pilot propelled into the air and flew across the water successfully, the Daily Mail reported.
The flights controls are designed so it is easy enough for anybody to use, according to the designers who took nearly 10 years to build it.
The 'Jetlev-Flyer' has a 10-metre hose and an engine which doubles as a flotation device. The hose is essential because water is sucked up and spat out through two nozzles which are mounted on the users back, say the designers.
