A 33-year-old woman assistant manager of Delhi's Karkardooma branch of Union Bank, on Monday night, leaped to her death from her 8th floor flat in the upmarket Neelpadmkunj Apartments. She left a suicide note which said she had nothing more left to live for after her boyfriend recently died of cancer.
According to a police officer, the deseased, Megha Nanda, lived alone in the flat number 903 in Neelpadmkunj. But, on Monday morning, her brother, Prateek and his wife, who live in Gurgaon had come to visit Megha. Around 10.30pm, when both of them were present in the house, Megha leaped from the balcony of her house. She fell into the swimming pool and sustained serious head injuries.
Said a police officer, ''We found the suicide note on Tuesday. It said, 'Dear mummy and papa, I love you both a lot. Nobody is responsible for my action. My boyfreind has recently died of cancer. And, I don't feel any reason for living now.'''
