  Mallika Sherawat is bold but not enough to bare her butt to camera. So when it came to shooting a scene for her movie Hissss in which her character of a Naagin who transforms into a woman needed to be shown with nude derriere, a body double was called in.

According to Mallika's brother, who is also the co-producer of the film, the decision to use the duplicate was taken by director Jennifer Lynch.

Since the actress's character is shown baring her butt a couple of times in the film, the director apparently thought it better to rope in a body double rather than the actress dropping her clothes.

Now, it remains to be seen whether these nude scenes will clear the Censor hurdle.

Irrfan Khan, who is Mallika's co-actor in the film, has said in a media report that the Censor Board should rate 'Hisss' from a different standard. Not just Mallika, even he has a lovemaking scene with Divya Dutta in the movie. However, there's no nudity in that scene.
Actress Divya Dutta , who is making her Hollywood debut with Hisss says that she is not afraid of being overshadowed by her glamorous co-star Mallika Sherawat in the fantasy film.

"Mallika plays the 'Nagin' in the film and therefore she is featured prominently in the publicity material.

"My role though small gives me plenty of opportunity to display my skills as an actor and the kind of attention I received with small roles in my previous films I really don't need to feel insecure," Dutta said in an interview.



Dutta who debuted with 1994 film 'Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna' had to wait for a good decade before getting noticed in the 2004 hit Veer Zaara which won her a Filmfare nomination in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category.

While 'Veer Zaara' gave her a fresh lease of life it was Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6 that helped her break the 'girl next door' image.

"Life changed after Veer Zaara and post 'Delhi 6' I have been offered characters which were earlier considered too bold for me," said the 33-year-old actress.

Mallika Sherawat has reasons to rejoice. Her new film HISSSS has been picked by Endeavour, the same company that brokered the SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE deal with Fox. Right now, HISSSS is in the post-production stages in Los Angeles and the producers have decided to premiere the film at the Toronto Film Festival in September this year.

Meanwhile, the makers as also Endeavour have inked a deal with Storm Lion, the media conglomerate that's associated with several Hollywood studios, to take the film further -- new-age digital media. "A comic book series is in the offing, besides mobile content and games," producer Vikram Singh reveals.

No, the sexbomb isn't going to strip for the internationally renowned magazine. Rather, she is set to be part of the launch of Playboy perfume in India.

The perfume is likely to be launched in mid-April this year. But it isn't yet clear whether Mallika has been approached to be the perfume's brand ambassador (which she thoroughly deserves to be) or just for the unveiling of the perfume in India..The actress has been away from home, spending weeks in the US, and was spotted at a wine-tasting luncheon on March 15 at the Malibu Family Wines in California. It was a fundraiser hosted by the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). She was also seen at Hollywood hotspot 'Mr Chow' in Beverly Hills.

On professional front, she has been singularly dedicated to Jennifer Lynch's movie Hisss in which she plays a snake-woman.

And whether she becomes the face of Playboy perfume in India is yet to be seen.
